APLNJ's political arm - League of Humane Voters of New Jersey - has been working to ban the use of wild animals in circuses in New Jersey. There is a state bill addressing a ban on elephants, but APLNJ is looking to protect ALL wild animals. We're pleased to anounce that there are now bans on the use of wild animals in circuses in Bergen, Cumberland, Hudson and Passaic counties. Additionally, Jersey City banned wild animals in circuses not only on public lands but also on private lands. Want your county or town to be next? Contact us .
