On Saturday, March 22 nd , fifteen Ingenuity students presented projects at the 2014 Baltimore Science Fair held at Towson University. For the fourth year in a row, an Ingenuity student won a grand prize award! Congratulations to senior Darius Johnson for being named this year’s Grand Prize winner in the biological sciences category. Darius won for his study of an immune system response to a retrovirus (“Characterization of T Cell Receptor Clonotypes in an SIV Infected Pigtailed Macaque’). Darius will go to Los Angeles in May to compete at the 2014 International Science and Engineering Fair . Kelly Khare earned the second place award in Physical Science category (“Characterization of T Cell Receptor Clonotypes in an SIV Infected Pigtailed Macaque’). Alex Eusman and Lane Easterling both received honorable mention. Additionally, 12 Ingenuity students received a total of 18 sponsor awards.
